The 7th Annual Audio-Visual (AV) Technology Expo was held on Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park. Allentown based Vistacom, which sponsors the yearly expo, held the six previous technology fairs at King's College in Wilkes-Barre.
Attendance had steadily dropped for the previous events, only 125 attended last year, but the 2014 AV Technology Expo saw over 300 registered participants for the event that brings together professional buyer with sellers.
Some of the AV equipment for sale included wireless remote cameras, video conferencing hardware, application specific software and encrypted wireless microphone systems.
Additionally, there were seminars on providing AV solutions for teleconferencing and classrooms, interactive digital technology for signs, and multi-format wireless systems.
Many of the professional buyers were impressed with the equipment and technology solutions that were available to deal with real life problems; such as connecting rural patients to doctors in large city hospitals and colleges looking to upgrade and digitized their classrooms.
Having the Lehigh Valley's first AV Technology Expo in the baseball stadium with the large screen and digital technology was also a nice touch.
