 This pleasant cool and drier weather pattern arrived after the state was drenched with several inches of rainfall, especially across Northern and portions of Eastern Mississippi through most of the month of September, with several locations breaking rainfall records for the month!

Portions of Northern and Eastern Mississippi, received 11 to 14 inches of rainfall for the month!!

In addition, according to the National Climatic Data Center, over 75 daily rainfall records were broken over a 21 day period, from September 6th through September 26th across the state.
