Autumn is upon us and the air and weather is changing. Soon enough the leaves will begin to change into the beautiful colors of fall; golden oranges, deep reds, and crisp yellows. The air in the morning is crisp and cool and fresh. Autumn has always been a time that I enjoy. It marks times of change. School is back in full swing. Halloween and Thanksgiving are knocking on the door. Children are usually super excited at the prospect of getting to choose new Halloween costumes, attending the fall festivals, and the county fairs. Take this time to enjoy the outdoors with your children. The heat of the summer has pretty much expired and the outdoors is very inviting. One place in particular that is free and allows for the enjoyment of nature is Pee Dee State Park. The park has benches, a bridge, and walking trails for you to take the kids. So, pack a picnic lunch and head to the great outdoors. Your children will thank you for it!
