Texas Wine Month wouldn't be complete without the Autumn Art & Texas Wine Festival in Historic Old Town Spring. The bi-annual, two-day wine and art festival features a variety of Texas-based wineries showcasing local white, red & sweet wines and southern-style blends along with regional hand-crafted art, photography, crafts, fashion and more on October 12 and 13, 2013.
Hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday on 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The weekend will feature more than 10 local and regional wineries showcasing top award-winning Texas wines, beer from some of Houston’s finest Micro-Breweries, original art work and exhibitions from local artists, local food products from Go Texans vendors and more.
Participating vineyards include Messina Hof, Fall Creek Vineyards, Clear Creek Vineyard, Pleasant Hill Winery, Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards, Calais Winery, Maydelle Country Wines, Bernhardt Winery, Dionisio Winery and more. The event is open to all ages and is a family-friendly event; Rain or Shine.
General admission to the festival is FREE on Saturday and Sunday and provides access to viewing original art and the Go Texans vendors. Wine tasting tickets are available for $30 advance ($5 savings for advance, online purchase) which includes one commemorative wine glass and 7 tastings; additional wine tasting tickets are available for $1 each. Prices increase at the gate.
Entrance to Old Town Spring is at 427 Gentry in Spring, Texas. Parking is $7 per car with a portion of proceed benefit the Knights of Columbus.
