July 25, 2011 - After an autopsy was performed on Amy Winehouse's body, the cause of death could still not be revealed and the reason why the singer died on Saturday remains a mystery.
While it is widely speculated that the five-time Emmy winner died as a result of a drug overdose and/or too much drink, there was no drug paraphernalia near or around her when she was found dead.

The autopsy on Amy took place at the St. Pancras Mortuary in London, but failed to establish the cause of death, the London Metropolitan Police told the media in a statement. However, the toxicology reports are still pending, and the results on those could take up to four weeks, the police added.
Meanwhile, a private funeral to held in England has been set for Tuesday, July 26, reports Us Weekly.

Amy is survived by her parents Mitch and Janis Winehouse, as well as her older brother Alex and on/off boyfriend Reg Traviss. Her family has made various statements saying they are very saddened and affected by Amy's passing, but that all the tributes made by fans in front of her home are very helpful.
"I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier for us," Mitch told the crowds that gathered outside Amy's flat at Camden Square, "We're devastated and I'm speechless, but thanks for coming."
