Come this September or October, purchasing pet food for your dog or cat should get a little easier for Atlanta area pet owners. Those are currently the designated months of the projected timeline for when RB Express plans to roll out their new automated pet food delivery system. This system will provide customers with natural pet food products through a type of self-serve kiosk, making pet product distribution available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
While the actual design of the delivery system is still not known, a press release from July 2013 states that these modular units could take up to 120 square feet of floor space and have the potential to provide about 500 product SKUs. An express system would allow customers to purchase quality pet products either during store hours or after hours with just the touch of a computer screen, or what RB Express calls a “non-employee POS cash environment.”
Although the exact location in Atlanta has currently not been named, it will most likely be located at one of the 14 metro Atlanta Red Bandanna Pet Food Stores (http://www.redbandannapetfood.com). RB Express and Red Bandanna are currently negotiating a joint venture with the intent of providing customers convenient access to high quality pet food and products even outside the range of normal operating business hours.
