What is an autoimmune disease? An autoimmune disease is when one's immune system attacks itself. Usually, if you eat the right foods for immune system (combination of leafy greens, vegetables, and fruits), it will be strong and support the rest of your heath, including defense against colds and germs. However, if you have an autoimmune disease the immune system is extremely weak, and the person that has it needs to work harder. This is exhausting.
What body parts are affected? Mostly, the internal organs, eyes, brain, mouth, and event your blood vessels. What are the symptoms? Most common symptoms are fatigue, dizziness, and lower grade fever. The symptoms can range from severe to mild. Yes, Diabetes Type 1 is known as an autoimmune disease. Other common diseases like lupus and multiple sclerosis are also known as autoimmune diseases.
If you are one of the people who have an autoimmune disease and want to live as a normal of a life you can; eat healthy, exercise regularly(do not give into the fatigue and pain it will make it worse), meditate, and reduce stress.
