Sunday Dec. 15, 2013 Marshall County Alabama deputies discovered the body of eight year old Randle Barrow around midnight. Police believe his mother Delicia Barrow drowned him in the Tennessee River. They found the body on the shoreline of the Honeycomb area near Sunrise Marina.

Authorities had received a call that the boy was missing from school for two days, and that was not normal. School staff remained worried about the boy as they had not been able to reach Delicia Barrow by phone.

Huntsville Police went out to the home on Saturday to complete a well-being check up on Randle Barrow and that's when they discovered the house was on fire.

Firefighters found Delicia Barrow's body inside the residence and a note leading to the whereabouts of her son. Detectives said her death is still under investigation but it appears the cause of death is suicide. They are still waiting on an autopsy report from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
