The autistic boy hate letter that is asking to euthanize a 13-year-old autistic boy and to “donate the non-retarded body parts to science” has a family in shock, a community united, and the police hoping to be able to file charges against the author of the autistic boy hate letter. Following the autistic boy hate letter, Karla Begley, the mother of the autistic boy, said that “the police have been contacted and should they have grounds, charges will be filed against the letter’s author,” reported CityNews Toronto on Aug. 18, 2013.
The autistic boy hate letter which was apparently sent by an anonymous neighbor and which was signed with “one pissed off mother” was received by the 13-year-old autistic boy’s grandmother on Friday in Newcastle, Canada.
During the summer months, 13-year-old Max gets to spend time with his grandmother, Brenda Millson. Like any child during the summer months, Max gets to play, to run, and to be a kid.
When Brenda Millson received the typed, one-page autistic boy hate letter which called her grandson a “nuisance” and a “wild animal,” she was in shock. “I was shaking when I was reading it. It’s awful words. You don’t know why somebody would ever do such a thing.” Brenda Millson shared the autistic boy hate letter with CityNews Toronto.
After receiving the autistic boy hate letter, Max’s mother, Karla Begley, who has secondary progressive multiple sclerosis which keeps her from walking and running with her son, was in tears. Her emotional reading of parts of the letter is heart-breaking.
Max’s father, Jim Begley, on the other hand, is worried that the autistic boy hate letter might lead to violence against his son. “A person that's that crazy or demented who would fabricate something like that ... it leads me to believe that they're very dangerous, and right now I'm scared for my son's safety.“
Below is the complete one-page typed letter.
“To the lady living at this address:
I also live in this neighborhood and have a problem!!! You have a kid that is mentally handicapped and you consciously decided that it would be a good idea to live in a close proximity neighborhood like this???? You selfishly put your kid outside everyday and let him be a nothing but a nuisance and a problem to everyone else with that noise polluting whaling he constantly makes!!! That noise he makes when he is outside is DREADFUL!!!!!!!!!! It scares the hell out of my normal children!!!!!!! When you feel your idiot kid needs fresh air, take him to our park you dope!!! We have a nature trail!! Let him run around those places and make noise!!!!!! Crying babies, music and even barking dogs are normal sounds in a residential neighborhood!!!!! He is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a hindrance to everyone and will always be that way!!!!! Who the hell is going to care for him?????? No employer will hire him, no normal girl is going to marry/love him and you are not going to live forever!! Personally, they should take whatever non retarded body parts he possesses and donate it to science. What the hell else good is he to anyone!!! You had a retarded kid, deal with it…properly!!!!! What right do you have to do this to hard working people!!!!!!! I HATE people like you who believe, just because you have a special needs kid, you are entitled to special treatment!!! GOD!!!!!!
Do everyone in our community huge a favor and MOVE!!!! VAMOSE!!! SCRAM!!!! Move away and get out of this type of neighborhood setting!!! Go live in a trailer in the woods or something with your wild animal kid!!! Nobody wants you living here and they don’t have the guts to tell you!!!!!
Do the right thing and move or euthanize him!!! Either way, we are ALL better off!!!
One pissed off mother!!!!!”
