Throughout the month of April, the Philadelphia chapter of the Autism Society of America is sponsoring a Puzzle Ribbon Campaign in Philadelphia-area schools. Free puzzle ribbons are provided to nominated schools, either assembled or to be assembled by students as an awareness activity.
Read more about the campaign on ASA-Philly's website.
Consider volunteering to conduct an awareness workshop with your child's class this month if the other children aren't aware of autism spectrum disorders or how they affect autistic kids. Puzzle activities and stories written from a kids' perspective can be good resources to use for planning a workshop.
