Autism in Long Beach celebrated their new office opening in downtown Long Beach on Saturday evening, Jan. 19.
Located at WE Labs (Work Evolution Laboratories) 105 West Broadway Avenue, the two hour event was hosted by Jane Tipton, Founder and CEO of Autism in Long Beach with the help of volunteers and her CFO, Janice Lepe, who is a fully functioning adult with Autism.
The celebration served a nice selection of hors d'oeuvres and a wine tasting from One Hope Wines with portions of the proceeds going to Autism in Long Beach.
A DJ provided the music with a variety of original wall art on display to peruse and admire, including a ping pong table for guests to enjoy a competitive game of ping pong.
About WE Labs
Marcus Manley, Founder of WE Labs, explains the goal of WE Labs cooperative work spaces.
"WE Labs is a creative co-work space/business development innovation center. As a way for creative professionals to come and get them out of their homes and the coffee shops. Where they can work together, share knowledge and resources and be able to network and expand their business. People not only extend their own business, they work in collaboration and creation of new services and new products."
"By having 'Autism in Long Beach' we help a lot of these smaller businesses grow and implement part of their business plan to be involved with the community with non-profit organizations. We also offer various services like graphic designers and photographers.
Everything is here, we have a music company that is building their studio here. We have Long Beach Post here, a video game company and a creative writers workshop."
