The deadline for open submissions for Perspectives Anthology, an anthology of poetry about various neurological, psychological, social, and communicative disabilities, with a strong but non-exclusive focus on the autism spectrum, has almost lapsed.  The editors have announced that they will make no further extensions to the deadline for open submissions, and that after June 1 (this coming Tuesday), no unsolicited submissions will be accepted.  The Perspectives Anthology has, according to the editors, received submissions from over 50 poets on 4 continents, and they urge anyone who is interested in having their work included to either send them up to three poems immediately, or else contact them before the deadline at perspectivesanthology@gmail.com.  For more information about the guidelines, please contact the editors at the previously-mentioned email address, or refer to the related articles which have been released.  Their Facebook page is also an excellent source of information on guidelines, as well as the best way to stay updated on launch venues and other pertinent information.

This is a wonderful opportunity! I wish I had read your article sooner. I cannot wait until all of these works are published. Thanks for all the great information!

Unfortunately, the deadline has already passed, as of Tuesday. The editors are now in the process of reviewing submissions and compiling the anthology so that it'll be ready in time for its September release. Look out for the kick-off event September 16th or 17th at Dowling College, and see the anthology's facebook page for further information on the anthology and other venues.
