Kettle Falls-based authors Gale and Kandis Palmanteer will be signing copies of "The Amulet", the second book in the "Ghost Dance" series, at Auntie's Bookstore in downtown Spokane on Saturday, December 17.
According to Kandis Palmanteer's blog Dancing with Dogs, she and her husband Gale wrote the first book in the series "Ghost Dance" together. Gale wrote the sequel by himself while Kandis worked on a children's fantasy novel called "Saving Terrene Glebe."
Based on the rave reviews on Amazon and things Kandis Palmanteer said in blog updates, the "Ghost Dance" books are apparently historical fiction with some fantasy elements. The books draw upon Native American traditions that may not be familiar to some readers in the Spokane area.
There aren't many details to be found online about "The Amulet", but the synopsis on Amazon makes it sound like a terrific read.
