William Webster Hamilton, a.k.a. Billy Hamilton, William Hamilton, or Billy Mitchell
On or about Nov. 3, 2011, five horses, a trailer and tack were stolen from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas.
The horses belonged to the SAU Rodeo Team members. Four horses were recovered in Oklahoma in poor condition. The fifth horse had been put down.
Oklahoma and Arkansas authorities are seeking information William Webster Hamilton. He’s approximately 5’8”--5’11” and weighs 180 lbs. Hamilton is believed to be working on, or seeking work on horse farms and ranches. In the past he’s worked as a horse trader and shoes horses.
It’s believed he has worked in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. It is not uncommon for someone working as a trader or ranch hand to travel so neighboring states should be on the lookout. Hamilton will likely seek cash payment for his services and may be driving a dark colored truck, possibly a Ford.
Hamilton has a prior conviction for cattle theft.
