Authorities nab escaped OC inmate at Oceanside hotel

Being on the run did not last too long for one inmate from Orange County.

According to a FOX5 report, Saith Na, 26, escaped from a jail in the OC, only to later be captured at the Coast Inn in Oceanside early Saturday morning.

Authorities say Na was not able to get too far as the Orange County Sheriff’s Department followed up on details that indicated he was hiding in the Oceanside area. Helping make the search a little easier for investigators, Na has distinctive tattoos including "Sar Rors" on the front lower neck, "Shorty" on the front upper chest, "Dragons" on the left upper arm and "Koi Fish" on the left lower arm.

Na went missing Friday during a routine body count at the Theo Lacy jail, according to a spokesperson with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

According to authorities, Na was slated to head to trial March 12 on charges of possession of a gun by a felon, possessing a gun on school grounds, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and street terrorism, all felonies.

Na is also reportedly facing sentencing enhancement allegations of street activity.
