Author signs book about true stories of medics, surgeons and nurses from WW II

When Dr. Anthony Goodman acquired the diary of his mentor, Dr. Alfred Hurwitz, he knew he had the material for a book.

The diaries held stories from the front lines at the time of the D-Day invasion and gave behind-the-scenes insight into the lives of the medics, surgeons and nurses that might have been lost forever. Instead, Dr. Goodman used them to create his book, None But The Brave: A Novel of the Surgeons of World War II.

This follows his other two publications - the historical fiction novel, The Shadow of God, and the non-fiction book, Never Say Die: Doctor and Patient Talk About Breast Cancer.

Dr. Goodman is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Montana State University WWAMI Medical Sciences Program and an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Biological Structure at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He also lectures for The Great Courses.

He will be doing a book signing at Country Bookshelf in Bozeman on October 18th to celebrate the book's publication.
