Dog trainer and author, Patricia McConnell, PhD, will be giving a full day seminar at the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. Her subject will be “Canine Behavior with an Emphasis on Canine Aggression”.
Trisha will spend the morning giving an in-depth presentation of slides and videos to help those in the veterinary profession learn to recognize canine expressions of emotion and predict (and influence) their behavior. The afternoon segment will be devoted to learning about canine social hierarchy and play behavior, and how it related to companion dogs and behavior problems. McConnell will present a dog-dog aggression case study where the audience will help to develop a treatment plan.
Patricia McConnell, PhD is is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Zoology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an expert applied animal behaviorist. She is the author of The Other End of the Leash; a book that examines human behavior and how it might be interpreted by canines. She is a world renowned expert on canine and feline behavior and dog training, and for her knowledgeable dog training books, DVDs and seminars.
