UNIQUE is a club at Sac State that specializes in putting on concerts, moving screenings, and other fun merriment for the student body and the community at large. They've shown movies like The Dark Knight and Zombieland, and aranged for bands like Los Lonley Boys and Reel Big Fish to play in the University Ballroom, and regularly have Tony de Luca hypnotize students.
This month, in addition to their regular fun-and-games, UNIQUE has taken a more literary bent that will have zombie-lovers giggling with maniacal glee: Seth Graham-Smith is coming to Sac State! For those not in the know (or living under rocks), Graham-Smith is the author of one of the first monster mash-ups, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. He also wrote another monster mash-up, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
For those that prefer films to books, Graham-Smith also has screenwriting credits. He co-wrote the screenplay for Tim Burton's new movie, Dark Shadows, the MTV show "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," and adapted his own novel Abraham Lincoln for the silver screen.
Graham-Smith will be at Sac State Thursday, October 27 at 7:30pm in the University Ballroom. There will probably be free parking for event attendees in Parking Structure III, as usual.
