Author Neil Gaiman speaks in Billings on Friday

Acclaimed author Neil Gaiman will speak at the Babcock Theatre in downtown Billings on Friday Feb. 21, 2014 at 7:30 PM. The event is sponsored by the Billings Public Library as part of the celebration of the new library building.

Gaiman is a prolific author. He has written more than a dozen books for children, teens, and adults. His best known novels include Neverwhere, Coraline, which was adapted into a film and The Graveyard Book, which won the prestigious Newbery Medal. Gaiman is also the author of numerous comics, including the Sandman series. He has written for television, including an adaptation of his novel Neverwhere and two episodes of the popular British television series Doctor Who.

Gaiman was born in England in 1960. He now resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His most recent novel is The Ocean at the End of the Lane, released in 2013. Other works released in 2013 include the non-fiction book Make Good Art, the children's book Chu's Day and the comic The Sandman: The Overture.
