Continuing with the green theme from St Patrick’s Day, Pearl is hosting a book signing and reading on Monday March 18 with author Melanie Shankle at Adelante Boutique. It’s time to celebrate the season with Adelante Boutique, The Twig and Arcade Midtown Kitchen.
A Texas native, Melanie Shankle started blogging in 2006 when she started her blog ‘Big Mama.’ She blogs about her experiences as a mother, a shopper and everything in between. Since then she’s written a book titled “Sparkly Green Earrings.” It was released in February and debuted on The New York Times’ bestseller list.
“Sparkly Green Earrings” is a memoir of motherhood filled with heartwarming and funny personal stories. These range from her decision to become a mother, to the heartbreak of miscarriage and the joys of raising a baby.

She will be at Adelante Boutique for a book signing and reading from her book. Chef Jesse Perez from Arcade Midtown Kitchen will prepare some tasty bites and visitors will get a chance to do some shopping while at the boutique and pick up a copy of her book from The Twig.
