While the nation's juvenile delinquents of all ages remain elated by the election of President Hope N. Change (funniest nickname yet? "Teleprompter Jesus"), we grown ups are obliged to stay abreast of our enemies' plans.
When we hear the phrase "Muslim terrorism," we tend to visualize the mass murders of September 11, 2001. Yet as that day's events recede into memory, and might as well be considered forgotten by some Americans, we need to understand that the jihadist threat to our culture and security takes many forms.
These alternative methods of jihad aren't as dramatic as the attacks of 9/11, but in their own way they represent a kind of slow motion, under the radar attack on America.
Robert Spencer's new book delineates these low level attacks. Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam is Subverting America without Guns or Bombs
Using their own words against them, Spencer (a Koranic scholar) reveals that, according to one high level Sheik, 80% of the mosques in the US are controlled by Muslim supremicists.
Spencer also reveals -- again, merely by quote their own words -- that many so-called "moderate" Muslim spokesmen actually hold radical, anti-American views. Some of these leaders have even been welcomed to the White House, and served as trainers in "ethnic sensitivity" to the Armed Forces and law enforcement.
Spencer's diagnosis is dire, and his prescriptions are dramatic and definitely politically incorrect; halting all Muslim immigration to America is his most daring suggestion.
Yet this isn't a book by a raving fanatic. Spencer is a surprisingly mild mannered fellow, especially considering how many death threats he receives from members of "the religion of peace" every day.
He fights on, but sounds increasingly pessimistic about his chances of bringing more Americans over to his (make that "our") side. All the facts he lays out in his books are likely too "depressing" to interest citizens caught up in the shallow thrills of Obamamania.
The terrorists seem to have changed their tactics. Rather than a repeat of September 11, Muslim radicals will subvert America through the pressures of censorship and "political correctness". Unless we summon the courage to act now, the United States will end not with a bang, but a whimper.

Despite Obama's name and his incompetence, I hardly think we have to worry about him being a muslim extremist. Look at how many jews he has chosen in his cabinet, even his chief of staff is jewish. I personally am more concerned with our immigration problems from south of the border. The United States had no business trying to police the middle-east in the first place. If we had remained neutral all these years we wouldn't be talking about 9-11 and muslim terrorists in the first place. Bring our troops home and put them were we truly need them on the Mexican-U.S. border. I just re-read Steve Emerson's American Jihad - still informative and quite frightening. Now many years later we are much worse off.

I really wish people would stop using the phase "radical Islam". All Islam is radical, in that all Muslims do not wish to intergrate into new countries, do not critize the murderers among them, do nothing to curb the influence of murder inspiring imans, etc. There may well be good Muslims, but this does not take away from the fact that where Islam goes - unrest, violence and murder follow close behind. Radical Islam or just Islam, the end results are the same. Why we let them into our country I will never understand.

It seems clear from candid moments in his various interviews when he gets away from the usual script that Robert Spencer is not optimistic about the direction of developments in the West. Many people, in large part thanks to Robert, are waking up to the true nature of Islam and its adherents, but the question is "are there enough?".

Over the years Islam has dominated with the sword. I come from a mixed faith, race Black white European and Arabic. Let me tell you, Christianity at one point where a very ignorant religion as well. But at least it evolved and people can now choose to be non christian and still be loved by their Christian communities. Anyway, there will always be a Muslim to disagree and try to prove me wrong. The truth about Islam is that we are all second class citizens. They are good people people because they live with us, but the minute they gain power, they will follow their religion, believe me these people believe blindly in their religion, they have such a powerful faith, so when the time comes, and we are vulnerable to them, they will not think twice to terminate our life.
