There has been a fair amount of discussion about the proper pronunciation of this popular East Memphis restaurant. Some say "eee-doh," while others believe it's "eh-doh." Others swear it's called "ay-doh." But, something that everyone seems to be able to agree on is the quality and affordability of the cuisine.
Many have been patronizing Edo for decades. Some remember visiting as a child and continuing through adulthood. The restaurant is known for fresh sushi, classic domburi and delicious soups at very reasonable prices. No individual roll eclipses seven dollars, and there are a variety of combination platters to suit every level of appetite.
Two people can get completely stuffed from dining on the Love Boat with a mix of sushi, chicken and beef kabobs, soup and salad. And all, for just $28.50. Edo is also one of the only places in town where diners can enjoy BBQ catfish.
Edo is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
