Australopithecus afarensi : a bone of contention?

Researchers of the University of Missouri and Arizona State University have recently found evidence of a 3.2 million year old fourth metatarsal bone of Australopithecus afarensi in Hadar, Ethiopia. They say that this bone proves that it had arch feet like a human. This research was published in the journal Science on February 10, 2011.

My question is this. "Where is the rest of the foot bones to prove this"? The famous fossil skeleton of lucy did not have arched feet but ape-like feet because she was nothing more than a type of chimpanzee. There is a danger to believe that one bone can make a complete creature.

Case in point, the Nebraska man(Hesperopithecus) was made from a single molar which was later confirmed to be from an extinct pig. When paleontologists returned to the site in 1928 where the tooth was found they discovered the rest of the fossil skeleton and it was a skeleton of an extinct pig. (R. Miller, Encyclopedia of Evolution, 1990, p. 322)

As a Creationist I don't believe that we evolved from apes but are a direct creation by God. Man (Adam) was created on the sixth day of Creation week by God (Genesis 1:26-27). Man was created not millions of years ago but only thousands of years ago. Adam was the first man created by God (I Corinthians 15:45).

If the argument you put forward is the best creationists can put forward, you make you case and Christianity look dumb.

Try reading Johanssens's "Lucy". The facts will do you good.
