Following the life of Justin Bieber never leaves you with a dull moment these days. The most recent scandal surrounding Bieber deals with allegations of possession of illicit drugs in Australia. Contact Music reported on Dec. 5, 2013, Bieber was reprimanded by police at an airport in Australia.
Sources say Bieber was threatened with being arrested by Australian airport police when his entourage was detained in Australia on suspicion of drug offenses. Members of the Australian federal police stopped Bieber and his associates when they flew into Brisbane International Airport as part of the the Believe world tour. Two sniffer dogs targeted the group's luggage. One of Bieber's crew, an unnamed 23-year-old man, is alleged to have been caught carrying cannabis.
Although Bieber himself was not found to be carrying any drugs, he was given a stern warning for using "inappropriate language" by the Australian federal police, according to TMZ. Apparently Bieber swore at the Australian officers. Well, it just shows you Bieber is just like most everyone else when it comes to being detained by the police with threats of an arrest. Perhaps the Australian government should extend apologies to Bieber for this incident, particularly if he was roughed up.
