Australian Open 2013: Last practice before the main draw begins Monday (Photos)

It is back to basics as many of the world’s top tennis players get in some final practice before the start of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season.

Starting on Monday January 14th through January 27th, the Australian Open is once again at Melbourne Park. This year prize money includes $2.4million for the singles championship for the men and women each.

Instead of the usual warm up events, many of the players have been in Melbourne doing drills with their coaches. Practice sessions are often a good opportunity for fans to see their favorite tennis players in a different setting.
