Australian cattle dog surrendered to shelter: New girlfriend allergic

Dallas Dogs in Need of Transition
Dany, weighing only 29 pounds, is so scared at the shelter. Please help her find a safe foster home until she can be adopted and have a new chance at a great life.

Dany is a 10-year-old Australian cattle dog now in the custody of Dallas Animal Services because her owner's new girlfriend is allergic to the dog's shedding.

Click here for Dany's PetHarbor listing. Please make sure to reference A852390 when making inquiries about Dany to the shelter at 214.670.8246.

The Facebook group called Dallas Dogs in Need of Transfer stated the following about the 29 pound sweet dog:

"She took treats, wagged her tail, and loved to be petted."

The group has been advised that Dallas Pets Alive is willing to rescue Dany if a foster home can be found. Anyone willing to help is asked to fill out a foster application here:

According to Dallas Pets Alive, a foster home is a temporary living situation for pets taken into their programs while awaiting adoption. Fosters provide the shelter, food, care and love; the more volunteers who give of themselves for these very important jobs, the more pets able to be rescued from high kill shelters.

Please share Dany's plight with friends, family and coworkers and find her a foster home. Sharing saves lives.

If you would like to adopt Dany individually, contact the Adoptions Desk at 214-671-0249
