The ABC Family series "The Lying Game," based on a series of novels of the same name by Sara Shepard, has announced an open casting call for extras in Austin, TX on November 19, 2011. All ages and types are needed. The show is filmed at the Austin Studios and various locations in and around the Austin area.
"The Lying Game" is currently half way through airing its first season and is off for a mid season break, and returns for the second half of its season on January 2, 2012. However shooting will continue because ABC Family has bumped up "The Lying Game" another 12 episodes for season one to a total of 22.
Starring in "The Lying Game" is Daytime Emmy Award nominated actress Alexandra Chando in the dual lead role(s) of Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer. Chando is best known for her role of Maddie Coleman in "As the World Turns." Other series regulars include Allie Gonino, Alice Greczyn, Kirsten Prout, and Andy Buckley.
Minors and foreign talent must be legally eligible to work in the state of Texas and in the United States.
