Austin Ramos of Transport Adidas won a tight race over a hilly 5 kilometer cross country course, holding off Jonathan Charlesworth of WVTC and Crosby Freeman of the Asics Aggies. Ramos became the fourth runner to win a PAUSATF Grand Prix race this season, while Charlesworth took runner-up honors for the third time in four races. Ramos' winning time is now tied for second fastest on the course, only 2 seconds short of the course record.

The Aggies won the open division team title over Transport Adidas for the second straight meet, after Transport Adidas had started off the season with two victories. Meet host, West Valley Track Club (WVTC) was third in the team scoring, with the River City Rebels fourth. A new team at these cross country competitions, Strawberry Canyon Track Club, was fifth.

Ty Strange (Empire) surprised previously unbeaten Chris Schille (Aggies) in the men's master division. Strange had run only once previously this season, placing third, but today made use of the hills and the heat to take the victory. Brian Pilcher (Tamalpa), the senior division winner, placed third in the younger masters division, too.
The Aggies come out with the best team score on first glance, but if Empire chooses to drop down Senior athlete Chris Cole to the masters team, Empire would edge the Aggies for the victory. As making this move will not change placement for the Empire senior team, it seems likely they will do so.

Ty Strange (Empire) 17:25
Chris Schille (Aggies) 17:29
Brian Pilcher (Tamalpa) 17:44
Pilcher became three for three in senior division races this season, having skipped one of the earlier events. Pilcher's Tamalpa teammate Tom O'Reilly, the current leader in the seniors standings, was second and Dennis Kurtis (West Valley Joggers and Striders) was third.
Tamalpa will easily win the senior team title over WVJS unless Tamalpa drops down its two top runners to give their masters team the required five participants to score. A more likely scenario would be for Tamalpa to drop down two non-scoring members of the senior team, leaving the Tamalpa seniors in first place and giving the Tamalpa masters a fourth place finish. Using Pilcher and O'Reilly on the masters team wouldn't move Tamalpa into third, so it seems likely that the non-scoring members will be dropped down instead.

Hans Schmid (Tamalpa) took the victory in the super-senior division in the absence of Bill Dunn who had won each of the three previous races. Jim Myers of Tamalpa was second and Fred Martin was third.
Tamalpa should secure the super-senior division team victory over Buffalo Chips.

David Norlander won the veteran division over Carl Petersen. Both runners compete for WVJS, which took the team title in a close battle with rival Tamalpa.

Dennis Tuohy (Empire) 26:34
All team results are unofficial, as clubs may still drop down older runners to compete in a younger division.

SCTC: 106 (4 scorers) unless they drop Andrew Creely down, then they would score 5 runners with a total of 138(+-)
Tamalpa doesn't have a team unless they drop down two runners, if they dropped down Brian Pilcher and Tom O'Reilly, their Senior team would fall to second behind WVJS with 43, and the masters team would still have 134 (+-). If they dropped down non-scoring runners they could still win the Senior, and finish ahead of Pamakids for fourth
