Atlanta country pop fans, Australian-born Country Western megastar, Keith Urban has just launched his own fragrance, Phoenix by Keith Urban, in conjunction with Boom LLC.
The Country Western crooner says he grew up with a father who had great taste in music, cars and colognes, so the idea to eventually create his own fragrance seemed a very natural one!
Keith explained that he loves the feeling that comes from finding the right scent and the way it can say so much about a person. His creation of Phoenix came about from a need to express the right blend of “masculinity, mystery and sensuality.”
Urban says his scent is reflective of his personal triumphs as well as an expression of his spirit. He chose the phoenix motif due to its immortality and ability to renew itself and be reborn. So what does all that smell like?
Phoenix by Keith Urbanis described on his site as a “rich masculine scent” and has a leathery gourmand appeal with notes of blackberries, cognac, plum, dark chocolate, crisp fir balsam and warm cashmere wood.
Word has it that there will be a promotional campaign featuring giveaways and fragrance-sampling opportunities, including his scented Phoenix tattoos at all future concert venues in the United States.
The bottle is squarish in shape, with a striated pattern on it as well as a stenciled etching of a Native American stylized phoenix, and “Keith Urban” written in the bottom right-hand corner.
The print ad features the musician himself playing his guitar on a distressed leather couch in a derelict warehouse setting.
The scent will be launched internationally via retailers, including CVS, Rite-Aid and Sears in the United States, Shopper's Drug Mart in Canada and Target and David Jones in Australia, beginning this month, October 2011.
Phoenix by Keith Urbanshould be priced at $24-$48.
