Look...up in the sky...it's a bird, it's a plane, it's...

Hugh Jackman careening toward the stage and he's not slowing down!

Hugh's extreme "light bulb moment"

Hoping to make a grand entrance for "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that was being filmed at the Sydney, Australia Opera House, the plan was for Hugh Jackman to rappel from high above, and slow down to a perfect landing spot on the stage.

Unfortunately, the Wolverine star got the rappelling part down but as for the slowing down to land? Well...unfortunately, that part didn't happen. Instead, with his two young children watching horrified in the audience, Jackman's journey to the stage came to an abrupt end when his leg hit a studio light, causing a piece of the debris to hit his eye.

With blood dripping from his eye wound, Oprah immediately rushed to the star's side before he left the stage to be treated by paramedics.

According to RadarOnline, Oprah said to Jackman in front of her 6000 person audience, "Let's get some ice otherwise it's going to swell."

Visibly shaken but trying to keep the atmosphere "light" and likely not wanting to further frighten his young kids, Jackman joked, "That was so much fun until the end."

When the paramedics finally arrived on the scene, Jackman quipped before placing the ice bag on his eye, "I've never been hugged by a paramedic."

Understandably, filming of the show - like Jackman - came to an abrupt end.

"Geez...poor guy!" said Leslie H of Cincinnati. "I love Hugh Jackman! And...I love Oprah! My girlfriends and I have tried to get tickets for years - a girls' road trip from Cincinnati to Chicago for 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' would have been fun! And to go to Australia with her AND see Hugh Jackman...that would have been a dream trip. Glad he's okay."

Do Tell: Will you watch Oprah's show from Australia? What do you think of her final season so far?
