Barnes, a New York City-based singer, songwriter and activist, grew from a young violinist in the TADA! Youth Theater and Opus 118 East Harlem Violin Program into one of the fastest-rising artists in the world today.
And on Apr. 8, New York City music fans will have the chance to hear her soulful stylings.
Barnes' debut EP, Fair Game, comes out Apr. 1, so the show will serve as a bit of record release to support the effort.
Barnes will be performing select shows around the Northeast Corridor before going out on the road to support the EP this summer, and her gig on Apr. 8 will be the first chance for New York City fans to soak in the soulful flair from her new record.
Fair Game doesn't come out until Apr. 1, but it's already available for pre-order.
Tickets for Barnes' Cutting Room gig are $15 in advance, or $20 day-of-show.
Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m.
The venue is located at 44 E. 32nd St. in New York, New York.
