This Saturday, March 1st, will be your opportunity to meet fifty authors and come away with the experience of a lifetime. Events like this only come once a year, so take full advantage of the bustling literary scene here in Augusta. We have local authors like Glenn Hills' own - Marcus Jones and Takisha Perry. We also have multi-faceted talents like Portugese Brown (Hodges) and Brandi Cummings. We have authors coming from several states other than Georgia. We have local professors who will be on hand with their books. We will have new authors, seasoned authors, and everyone inbetween on hand with their books. Since I don't have the space to list all of the authors I have a better idea; you can come out and pick up a program that lists all the authors with their bios and meet them in person.
All authors will be evenly spread on the first floor of the Main Augusta Library on 823 Telfair St. Bring the kids, because we will have authors for kids of all ages. You can even get a book with your child's name in it! The ALF will be going on all day long from 9-5, so drop in for a few minutes, just to experience the surreal scene of a literary free for all!!! This is a free event for the public and we need your help to promote literacy in the CSRA. Come and be a part of history. Come and be a part of the Augusta Literary Festival.
