August is not too late to enroll in college!

If summer has slipped by and you realized that you did want to go to college in the fall but you think it is too late to enroll-think again! Most local schools will accept enrollment up to the start of class. You may have to scramble a bit to come up with tuition, or financial aide forms, or even place to live, but it will be worth it if you can get some credits under your belt in the fall.

Many local schools offer 2 and 4 year programs with classes offered during the day, evening and even on the weekends. Here is a profile of three fantastic local schools that accept fall enrollment.

Montgomery County Community College has 2 year programs in many different majors. They have a very popular culinary arts major where enrollment raises by over 44% a year! Montco also has agreements with many major universities which means that all of your credits will transfer. In fact Drexel University offers classes right on Montco's campus! Classes are small and the teachers at Montco take time to get to know every student Montco accepts students up to the start of classes and they also have late start classes for students that need to start later in the fall. Of course Montco accepts students all year round. Montco also has ESL programs with both credit and non credit classes and continuing education for people who want to improve their skills or enter certificate programs. Montco's campus is beautifully landscaped, spread out and easy to find your way around.

Penn State Abington has 2 and 4 year programs. They also have sensational travel abroad programs. Their faculty is top notch and their class sizes are small and welcoming. If you haven't been to their campus it is worth a trip. There are beautiful buildings comprised of amazing architecture nestled in an old growth woods. There are fountains and lion statues and seemingly endless stone staircases which will keep you in shape! Students are accepted in August and throughout the other semesters during the year.

Temple University Ambler Campus offers 2 and 4 year classes. Ambler is also a beautiful campus with a tremendous variety of flowers and plants. Students can enroll up to when classes start and throughout the year. The faculty is engaging and inspiring. Ambler offers many majors which can be completed at Ambler including 2 interesting majors;Landscape Architecture and Community Development.

Going to college locally gives you the opportunity to still live at home and save some money. If staying at home is incompatible with going to one of these colleges there are many apartments in the area managed by Korman Property Management, Lindy Property Management and Scully Property Management There is no reason to procrastinate! Start your college studies and be one step closer to your career goals!
