Now who could disagree with taking a siesta every day? Or maybe you call it a catnap?
Actually napping is very important to your overall physiological constitution. Power naps have tremendous restorative qualities for your mind and body. In fact, getting some shut eye for about 20 minutes will refresh your body and help improve your memory.

According to the nap monkey at www.bspcn.com there are 7 simple rules for taking a nap;
- Feeling sleepy in the afternoon is normal. That's just the way the cycle of humans and animals are. If you are an early bird then your afternoon slump might come earlier. We are wired to take naps. Instead of taking a smoke break or eating that donut & coffee, sit back and close your eyes.
- Naps provide different benefits depending on how long they are. Recoup sleep you might not have gotten the night before.
- Try not to sleep longer than 45 minutes but less than 90 minutes.
- Find a nice dark place where you can lie down (but not under your bosses desk).
- White noise can help you fall asleep, especially if you are working an odd schedule and have to sleep during the day.
- Don't nap too close to bedtime or else you may find it more difficult to fall asleep quickly at night.
- Quit that silly job where they don't let you take naps during the day. Not recommended in the downward trend of this economy.
So go ahead and celebrate National Napping Month by catching 40 winks!
