Runners and walkers are flocking to Mayville for the Audubon Classic on Saturday, October 5.
The scenic rolling course begins at Lions Point in Fireman’s Park in Mayville, Wisconsin. Race-day registration opens at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K Run-Walk start at 9 a.m. and the 1K Kid’s Run at 10 a.m.
Mile splits and water stops are situated along the 5K route. Trophies and medals will be awarded to top finishers, both overall and in various age categories in the 5K Run and 1K Run events. The 5K Walk is non-competitive.
Advance registration and packet pickup are available on Friday, October 4, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dan’s King Pin Family Fun Center, 31 North Main Street, in Mayville.
Entry fees total $25 per person for the 5K Run or Walk, $20 for the Kid’s Run, or $50 per family or team (three people). Event tee shirts are included.
The 5K Run-Walk and 1K Kid’s Run are part of Audubon Days, an annual October weekend festival, which includes antique displays, bed races, bike tours, car shows, children’s activities and games, live entertainment, tricycle and recliner races, wine tastings, a parade, and more.
