Audrey McCombs' latest Paul McCartney memory: A radio chat with Brian Ray and a DJ named McCartney

You remember Audrey McCombs? She's the young Beatle fan who had her arm signed by Paul McCartney at the Halifax concert and had it made in a tattoo. She also later went to see the McCartney show in Atlanta and told us about it.

Well, this week Audrey talked to McCartney guitarist Brian Ray on a Hawaiian radio show. Here's what she told us:

Michael (Editor's note: name of the disc jockey) sent me a message on Facebook this morning. He said 'I know this is last minute, but I'm going to have Brian on the show today and I was wondering if you wanted to talk for a few minutes.' etc. and I said yes of course!!! So he called me today at around 5 and it was super awesome!!!! Mike was like 'Hey, what are you doing?" and I said I was waiting for my tuba lessons and I was a music education major and they both thought it was cool :)

But yeah, I told him my side of the story and he said 'Yeah, we knew you had worked hard to get that kind of spot, and when you held up your sign I could see Paul thinking "Should I do it?". So I went over and told him "Go for it!" and I was like "BRIAN THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!" 

   I told him that if he ever needed a tuba player, that I would be up for it you know. He said on one of the songs he's got a guitar part that sounds like a tuba, and that live he may need a tuba...wouldn't that be like the SECOND COOLEST THING EVER?!?!??!?! haha
Yeah, I never thought anything like this would happen to me....let alone keep going! Pretty crazy!

Oh, we forgot to mention. The disc jockey's full name is Michael McCartney. No, it's not Paul's brother the photographer. This McCartney is a DJ in Maui at KEAO-LP 91.5 FM.
