The Women’s Theater Company to hold Auditions for WORKING on Saturday, January 25 from 11 am to 2 pm.

Two Equity Contracts Available

The Women’s Theater Company, a professional theater company located in Parsippany, NJ, will hold equity and non-equity auditions on Saturday, January 25 from 11 am to 2 pm for its upcoming show, WORKING, written by Stephen Schwartz & Nina Faso.

Actors should prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song and one monologue for the audition, which will be held at the Women’s Theater Company, in residence at the Parsippany Playhouse, located at 1130 Knoll Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ.

The cast consists of three men and three women with two equity contracts available. The remaining roles are non-equity with a stipend.

The musical WORKING paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the school teacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, and the housewife, just to name a few. WORKING explores the relationships and reveals aspects of their humanity, regardless of the trappings of the job itself.

WORKING will run March 7-23, 2014 at the Parsippany Playhouse.

The Women’s Theater Company’s mission is to provide a fertile environment for the advancement of professional women theater artists and to provide quality theater for the community at large. Through their main stage, educational outreach, and new works development programs, the Women’s Theater Company supports the development of new women artists, promotes new works in the American theater, and provides entertaining and enriching productions for growing audiences. Women’s Theater Company is located at The Parsippany Playhouse, 1130 Knoll Road, Parsippany, NJ. For more information contact 973-316-3033, or email
