Corinth Theatre-Arts Playhouse, located at 303 Fulton Drive in Corinth, Mississippi 38834, announces the following:
"Auditions for 'The Miracle Worker' are Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 28 and 29, at 6 p.m. Performances are at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 10 and 11, for school groups at the theatre and 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 12-14, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, for public audiences."
The auditions will be held at the Corinth Theatre-Arts Playhouse at the address listed above. According to theatre representatives the following rolls need to be filled:
"Available roles are Anagnos/a doctor – male, cameos in dual roles, age 40-50s; Kate – female, supporting, Helen’s mother, 30-40; Keller – male, supporting, Helen’s father, 40-50; Helen – female, lead, mostly non-speaking, 7-13; Martha – female, supporting, Helen’s playmate, 8- 12; Percy – male, supporting, Helen’s playmate, 8-12; Aunt Ev – female, supporting, 30-50s; James – male, supporting, Helen’s half-brother, 13-20; Annie Sullivan – female, lead, Helen’s teacher, lead, 20-30, slight Irish accent; Viney – female, speaking, supporting, servant, 20-50; six blind girls at Perkins Institute – cameos, 8-17; a servant – female, non-speaking, supporting, 30-60; plus additional cast as needed."
