Aspiring actors and performers are invited to audition this weekend for the 2010 musical production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, which will be presented by the James Seastrand Helping Hands of North Las Vegas at the Summerlin Performing Arts Center in June.
Auditions will be held on Friday February 19 and Saturday, February 20 at the LDS church on the corner of Civic Center and Tonopah in North Las Vegas. For complete details regarding the audition schedule, please check the James Seastrand website for directions and information.
Actual performance dates for Cinderella are scheduled for June 16-19 and June 21-26, 2010. According to Program Director Marcia Black, this year will be the organization’s 11th production and their 5th year at the Theater located inside the Summerlin Library.
Proceeds from the annual play are used to support the programs and services provided by James Seastrand Helping Hands of North Las Vegas. These programs include assisting elderly and disabled citizens with transportation, errands, and community needs.
Volunteers are also needed to help behind the scenes of the production, and the organization is an approved participant of Disney’s “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program. For more information on volunteering for that program, click here.
