For the past two weeks now, I've been publishing sections of a 10-part series on auditioning. Here's the series run down for those of you who missed it: Two weeks ago, I showed you some auditioning tips from Aaron Marcus, Hugh Laurie and Natalie Portman. Last week, I published an anecdote about Clint Eastwood's audition for Rawhide; I showed you an audition by Canadian actress Rachel McAdams; I shared with you a flawless audition by Blake Lively (Gossip Girl, Green Lantern); I shared some funny audition blooper stories from TV stars; then we looked at an audition that was almost there, but not all there, Scarlett Johannnson auditioning for Jumanji, and finally, we listened to Megan Fox's wishy\washy audition for Transformers.
What do casting directors think about all this? Let's hear from one. Take a look and listen at the spot on advice given by casting director G. Charles Wright.

The idea is to do your characterization homework, even if the side is only one line!
