Audition for the award-winning classic, 'The Wizard of Oz' Sunday, February 23

Venture into a mesmerizing world that has captivated audiences for generations! Based on the spellbinding, classic novel by Frank L. Baum, Massasoit Community Theatre Company is proud to announce auditions for ‘The Wizard of Oz’ at the Community Theater at the Buckley Performing Arts Center, One Massasoit Boulevard in Brockton, Massachusetts. The Wizard of Oz’ is a brilliant, musical tale about a girl launched into a mysterious new world, but always dreams of home. Classic musical numbers include, ‘We’re Off to See the Wizard,’ ‘Follow the Yellow Brick Road’ and ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’

Audition to be the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, Glinda, the legendary Wicked Witch, or even a fellow Ozian on Sunday, February 23 at 6 p.m. Call backs will take place on Monday, February 24 at 6 p.m. Audition candidates are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song either in the show or in the style of the show. No pop songs please. Please wear comfortable clothes for dancing and a resume and headshot is preferred, but not required.

Directed and choreography by Corinne Mason with musical direction by Janice Issa-Wright, performances will be held for two weekends and six performances from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 11.
