The 86th Academy Awards ceremony is less than a week away. The New Orleans Film Society extends an invitation for the local community to don the finest garb and walk the red carpet, courtesy of partnership with Prytania Theatre.

Doors open at 6pm on Sunday, March 2, with the show starting at 7pm. Come early to check out the red carpet. Come prepared to show off movie knowledge. Prizes are awarded for the most Oscar-savvy and well-done character costumes.

Tickets are $20 for members of the NOFS and $25 for non-members. As always, Producer's Circle and Movie Mogul members get in free.

Founded in 1989, the New Orleans Film Society continues to grow its mission to support, engage, and inspire the world of film. They host the New Orleans Film Festival every fall, and organize several film-related events throughout the year. Each event caters to the benefits of local audiences, artists and professionals in the film community.
