Bring your unwanted personal and sensitive paper documents, CD’s and DVD’s to Shred Day on September 24th at Lowe’s Home Improvement at Hamburg Place for free shredding. Take advantage of this free opportunity to clean and remove clutter from your home by getting rid of unwanted documents that can be used to steal your personal identity.
The event will take place from 12 noon to 5pm and is sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of Central and Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, Shred-All Documents of Pikeville and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
How to prepare
• Each person may bring a maximum of 60 pounds of material to be shredded. (one standard sized bankers box)
• Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed prior to shredding.
• You can bring your CD’s and DVD’s for shredding. (These will not be shredded on site).
• Visitors may watch the shredding of their documents on a video screen.
• There will be a truck and trailer available with empty lockable bins for people who want to leave their items to be shredded later.
