Living in New York City, you have to jump on affordable fitness opportunities (especially when they are free)! The folks at FITNESS Magazine are partnering up with Crunch NYC at 59th Street and 2nd Avenue for a FREE lunchtime class Thursday, March 14. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., FITNESS staffers will challenge participants to sweat it out and keep up with one of Jillian Michael’s fitness routines.
For those who aren’t familiar with Jillian, she is the 5’3” acclaimed trainer that reined her terror of fitness on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. Very tough with her trainees but sweet at heart, Jillian inspires millions to become their best and stay healthy with an assortment of fitness regimens.
BodyShred is an acronym that stands for Synergy, High resistance, Resistance, Endurance and Dynamics. Concentrating on a 3-2-1 circuit interval approach (three minutes of strength, two minutes of cardio and one minute of abs), BodyShred will push you to shred fat and strengthen those muscles you didn’t know were existed. If this sounds like a bit of work, no worries – the routine is 30 minutes which is perfect for beginners looking for a challenge, or people who need a quick workout fix.
