"Attack on Titan" to start airing on Toonami in May

Funimation Entertainment has announced that anime mega-hit "Attack on Titan" will start airing on on the Adult Swim anime block Toonami starting in May.

The show, which has been a major success in Japan and the United States, is about a group of giants called Titans attacking the last of civilization. Eren Yeager watches as his mother is eaten by one, and vows to kill every last one. But his secret could potentially help humanity, or put them in bigger danger.

"Attack on Titan" has been a big hit since its release during the Spring 2013 season, spawning toys, apparel, and other merchandise.

The show will start airing on Saturday, May 3 at 11:30am.

A DVD/Blu-Ray release of the first half of the series will be released in June.
