On March 18 the Thom Yorke fronted supergroup Atoms for Peace announced headlining tour dates for the fall of 2013 on the band's official Facebook page. The North American tour begins Sept. 24 in Philadelphia and ends on Oct. 17 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Atoms for Peace will be performing in Chicago on Oct. 2 at the UIC Pavilion.
During Atoms for Peace's fall 2013 North American tour the band will perform six concerts over a a three week time span. They will be touring in support of their debut studio album, "Amok" which was released on Feb. 25 via XL Recordings. The album debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
The supergroup contains lead vocalist Thom Yorke of Radiohead, bass player Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, drummer Joey Waronker of R.E.M., keyboard player Nigel Godrich, and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco.
