Atomic wedgie murder: 33 y/o arrested for murdering step-dad by atomic wedgie

An atomic wedgie murder is making news across the country on Jan. 9 after a 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his stepfather by way of an "atomic wedgie." According to Huffington Post, Brad Lee Davis of Oklahoma was taken into custody by police after a fight with his dad that turned deadly.

During the fight, Davis "grabbed [his step-dad's] underwear and gave him an 'atomic wedgie.' Davis allegedly pulled the elastic waistband of [the] underwear over his head and around his neck," according to the affidavit. The medical examiner listed asphyxiation and blunt force trauma as 58-year-old Denver St. Clair's cause of death... meaning that the "atomic wedgie" ultimately killed him.

The atomic wedgie murder will have serious consequences if Brad Lee Davis is convicted. He will undoubtedly be charged with murder in the first degree and despite trying to "cover up" the crime, there seems to be enough evidence to put Davis away. Davis, a former Marine, tried to "make the attack look like self defense" according to the report. However, police don't seem fooled.

Residents in the area cannot believe such a thing happened. "I can’t imagine how you do that to your stepfather, choke him with his underwear. People knew him. And then to be killed like that is just outrageous," said Shawnee resident Peggy Springer. It is unknown what provoked the attack.
