Atlantis in Dubai home to the Middle East’s longest zip line and $35,000 suite

Did you know that the Middle East’s longest zip line is found at mega-resort Atlantis The Palm in Dubai? How about one of the most luxe suites in all of the Middle East—which costs $35,000 per night. Well, they are.

Built in 2013, the zip line stretches 497 metres in length and is integrated into a water slide tower at Aquaventure—the Middle East’s largest water-themed attraction—a soaring 20-metres up from the ground. Dubbed Atlantean Flyers, the launch deck is so high that the trip back down is equally as scary as the thrilling ride across the 497-metre cable, which offers stunning aerial views of the property.

Atlantis developments are notorious for being grand and the Dubai resort is no different. Boasting a plenitude of guestrooms and suites, spread throughout an expansive 46 hectares—that’s the 64 Wembley football fields—Atlantis, The Palm offers guests all-hands-on-deck adventures without having to trek to Mall of the Emirates (though, we hear their indoor skiing is pretty rad).

Want to live the lavish life while in Dubai? Spend a night (or three, if you can afford $105K) in The Bridge Suite. Measuring in at 924 square metres, the monstrous suite boasts an unrivalled view of Dubai. If aboveground sightlines aren’t what you are looking for, try one of the two Lost Chambers suites—which spread across three floors and look into Ambassador Lagoon.

Atlantis is also home to more than 65,000 marine animals—from zebra sharks to manta rays—and rooms start at $1,000 per night.
