“I know what it’s like to have the belt wrapped around my waist, and I’m getting it back on May 2nd,” Warren said. “I’ve only been in MMA for about five years, and I feel like I’m just hitting my groove now. I feel great, I feel explosive, I love Bellator, and I want that belt.”
No announcement has been made for the co-main fight, but Bellator 118 is expected to feature the Bellator Season 10 Featherweight Tournament Finals.
Bellator's feathweight tournament opening round includes Diego Nunes (18-5) vs. Matt Bessette (12-4), Mike Richman (16-3) vs. Desmond Green (9-2), Daniel Weichel (31-8) vs. Scott Cleve (14-3) and Goiti Yamauchi (16-1) vs. Will Martinez (8-2), so the two finalists will battle it out for a $100,000 prize on May 2 at Bellator 118.
The event will broadcast on Spike TV at 9 p.m. in the east, following prelims on Spike.com.
Warren, 37, is riding a three-fight win streak, including victories over Travis Marx and Nick Kirk. As a former Bellator champion, he knows what it takes to win the belt.
He's now just one victory away from having the strap around his waist again.
