During select weekends in September, Six Flags over Georgia, located just off of I-20 in Austell, Georgia, will offer free admission to active duty military service members and reduced admission for members of their deserving families.

Realizing the stresses of multiple separations and the need for local military families to reconnect with one another, Six Flags offers this wonderful opportunity for our military members and their families to enjoy a relaxing day at their wonderful park.

Military families will have fun riding on one of the park’s many roller coasters including the Goliath, a ride that reaches speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. Or, for a more mild ride, the Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster which reaches speeds of up to 30 miles per hour and can be enjoyed by the entire family.

Smaller children may also take advantage of the park rides by enjoying an adventure on the Thomas the Tank Engine Train Ride or while enjoying secure play in Tweety’s Clubhouse.

The schedule for this generous offer is below:
Sept. 18: Air Force
Sept. 19: Navy and Coast Guard
Sept. 25: Army
Sept. 26: Marines

According to their public relations office, active duty service members and reservists with up to three dependents are admitted free while additional dependents are half off the usual ticket price.

In a time when many local military families struggle to regain the strength of their family bond, the staff members of our Atlanta area Six Flags theme park have taken the broad step to recognize and answer the need for these very special families to, once again, enjoy a bit of fun.
